What does an HHS Team Parent do anyway?

The basic role of a Team Parent is to serve as a support point for the coach/es, athletes, and parents on your child's team.

1. General Support - ASK YOUR COACH

All coaches have different areas of need depending on their own strengths and capacities to pour into their team while maintaining work and family beyond. Please offer to assist in any ways you are able and they need.

2. Booster Liaison

As a Team Parent, you serve as the conduit of information from the Athletic Booster Club to the coach, athletes, and their parents. There is one Booster meeting each month. We hope that you can attend that meeting, along with a second representative from your team.  Please collect parent email and create a distribution list for your team at the beginning of each season. Also, invite members of your team to join the Booster Club using this link: https://gofan.co/app/events/339843

3. Help get Volunteers

Our campus and athletic fields host roughly 80 home athletic events in a typical school year. At these events, concessions are provided by the HABC which require the service of parent volunteers. Proceeds from selling concessions goes into the Athletic Boosters General Fund in order to support the needs of ALL teams in the HHS Athletic program. The parent base from EVERY athletic team at HHS will be responsible for serving at roughly two events/competitions per SEMESTER. You or your coach will be contacted by the Boosters Volunteer Coordinator to let you know the date, time, and details of your event. Please work with the parents on your team to get volunteers for this event.

4. Fundraising Contact

If you are unable to be the coordinator for such, please find another parent who is able, or better yet, link arms with a few parents on the team and make it a group effort. Boosters will just count on you to be in the loop of fundraising efforts for your team in some way. More information below on fundraising for your team.
